carburetor removal for a 1993 marathon 4 cycle
Newbie here and searched the forums but had no luck.
I have a 1993 Marathon 4 stroke that won't crank. Starter turns over and have a good spark but it just won't start. Fuel pump is working and am getting good flow to the carb. Thought I'd just quickly remove the carburetor , give it a good clean, check the jet, etc. The mounting studs are long and when sliding off the carb it hits the starter. Any tricks to getting it off without pulling the starter? Thanks in advance. T. |

You don't have to pull the starter well in my case. I did have to pull the belt and moved the starter all the way towards the front of the cart. And it was enough room to get the carb out.

pull the carb stud bolt and it will give enough room to turn the carb and get it off anyway it worked on mine
