Default 85 marathon won't run anymore

A little back story, wifey took my 85 into the woods and got it stuck so after I pulled her out my cart would hesitated and sputter and wouldn't stay running. Watching it turn over I noticed the fuel filter wasn't filling so decided to change the fuel pump diaphragm hoping for a cheap fix. Still won't start or pull fuel, think it may be the engine seals but was looking for some guidance before I tear the motor out. Any thoughts

Remove the fuel pump. Put your finger over the center hole, and turn it over. You should feel a lot of pressure, and suction. I would bet on crankshaft seals.

The pump does not self prime so I would pull the line from the carburetor, wrap a shop rag around the filler hole to create a seal and blow into the tank. When you see fuel running out of the line you have primed the pump. With the line still disconnected, crank the engine, you should see big healthy spurts of fuel. A dribble or a trickle indicate a defective pump or more likely defective crankshaft seals.

Thanks guys, I dug a little deeper last night and found that the complete lower half around the jug is covered in fuel and oil. Looking like a seal change is in the works.
