Default 2016 RXV Brake Light Switch Issue

First - new cart owner here so be easy on me.

Recently purchased a 2016 RXV that had new led lighting installed. It appears to be a LGT-699 plug-and-play harness used. I added a State of Charge meter using the P-N-P plug and that worked great. Just purchased an LGT-B11 Brake Light Switch. Installed on pedal, ran wire under cart and plugged into the plug labeled "Brake Light Switch". However, pressing on the pad does nothing. Lights do turn off and on great with headlight switch on dash. Just nothing on the pad for the brake lights when headlights are off.

Thinking it may be a bad pad switch, tested continuity of the pad itself. When I press on the pad, the pad is working as the meter buzzes.

At a loss at to what is going on. Keep in mind the harness and lights were new just before I purchased the cart. So not suspecting a bad harness. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If the pedal switch closes when pressed, as you have proven with continuity test.
Use 12 volt test light to check for 12 volts at switch input (12 volt supply) and out put side, then at brake light.
Let us know what you find😊

Are there dual filament bulbs in the tail lights?

Check the harness at the back and see if they tied the running lights and brake light wires together. They were on mine. I separated mine, rewired and good to go.
