Default DCS Controller

36v ezgo DCS 94
Lifted, 22's in the front, 18's in the back for torque, zero gauge jumpers
I rerouted a few of the paths on our ranch to minimize the hills
The cart has a utility bed, which we load with wood or rock, sometimes 5gallon buckets of rock on the floorboards
Occasionally the controller would overload climbing a hill until it cooled down
The controller seems to have "let out all the smoke out" for the last time...
I haven't done the full troubleshooting & will examine the board for easy to spot damage
Been looking for an excuse install an alltrax
Is there a way to tie the alltrax regen circuit to the brake pedal?
The regen braking on the stock controller works great for downhill with load, but I could never bring myself to flick the cart into R at speed to activate, fearing flaming up the controller :O
Any way to trick my Lester charger to work for 42v
Can I relocate the controller to the club well to go 48v?

Default Re: DCS Controller

The DCS does not have anyway to monitor or control motor rpm (speed).
The 36v charger cannot charge any more or any less than 36v worth of batteries.
The Club Car 48v controller will not work in the DCS cart.

Thanks for the reply
Didn't ask about Club Car parts compatibility
I would define club well as the place where the bottom of the bag holding golf clubs sit which is directly behind the battery compartment & between the wheel wells
I'm wondering about mounting the controller outside the battery compartment, to make room for another battery & the potential of going 42 or 48v
I think you are saying this is not possible with the stock motor?
How would you suggest I optimize a 36v system with a stock motor & differential to maximize torque?
