Default Hey LukeL or other steering experts

Did you ever solve your marathon loose steering issue? If so how?

Ok... I’m not really a steering expert... but I’ll tell you what I did with that one.

The problem with mine ended up being two things- first, I replaced the tie rod ends. They didn’t look loose but it made a difference, and the old crusty grease on the originals was pretty gross.

Mine also had damage where the horizontal rod coming out of the steering box attached to the tie rods. I had to replace a bunch of front end stuff.

Like that other thread said, hold the front wheels and have somebody turn the wheel. It should be pretty easy to track or down.

And... I never got it completely perfect but it was much more useable. Almost no play. It was an ugly cart I sold for a discount price [emoji51]

Thanks I plan to try and diagnose.

You mean it was a Jewel of a cart that you were helping a little old senior citizen couple make their 1st cart purchase giving them an AARP discount.
