Marathon Rebuild
Picked it up for $300 on Craigslist. Batteries were shot but was able to drive it down the driveway to test everything. All good so the teardown began. Also came with a like new powerwise charger!
Kinda slacked on rebuild pictures but heres where its at now. Found an awesome cart place in Goldsboro, NC. They have a whole field of old carts going back to nature in the back. Was able to go back and poke around for parts. Found some like new rear fender caps, a front nose with headlights that needed a little love. The front was cracked so plastic welded it back together. Also got a back seat setup. The guys were super nice and swapped out my 36 volt powerwise for a 48 volt charger. I picked up a used set of 8volt trojans with plenty of life left for $200 from them also. New tires are 20" Kendas on black steel rims off of ebay. There is a guy that sells brand new take offs for $100!!!!! They just rub a touch on the front so I am going to throw together a small lift kit. Overall Im happy with it to cruise the neighborhood! Im sure ScottyB will chime in I need a new controller with the 48 volts We will run the resistor setup until I get tired of rebuilding it! This weekends project is getting the rear seat set up and mounted. |

Re: Marathon Rebuild
Welcome
Looks very nice. Clean, crisp, almost like from the factory. But better! Let me know if they get another set of trojan 8v. |
