I can't tell from the photo. What is it?

You should have a diode run between the 2 small posts. It is directional. The stripe going toward the hot side. However, it does not affect operation of the cart so to speak.

The terminal end on your yellow cable is crusty and looks burned. You need to clean all the rust and crud off of that, it’s causing a poor connection to the solenoid post. That will make heat and will cause high current to try to go through the resistor.

I’ll clean up the terminals and see what happens controller is only a couple months old. The new solenoid I put on had a built in diode between the small terminals and a resistor between the large terminals

So is there suppose to be a diode or resistor on the red wire going to the small terminal on the hot side. Also idk if you can see in picture the built in diode on the bottom

Here’s a better pic of built in diode and I’m going to replace rusty nut to new solenoid didn’t come with them

Chandler, I'm having difficulty matching wires to what you have. Does this cart have a FNR with a handle or is it pushbutton?
