95 ezgo won’t move
Hey guy’s. I’m fairly new to the golf cart world. I recently got a 95 ezgo and it won’t go when I push the go peddle. I have power when the key is turned and a back up beeper just no juice to the wheels. I can jump the solenoid and get bothe reverse and forward. I changed the solenoid thinking it was that, but no such luck. So next is reed switch or micro switch. From what I’ve seen about the reed switch my charging port is different then other 95 ezgo’s so I’m wondering is someone has changed it out already or if I have maybe an early 95 model? Is there still a reed switch on mine? is it somewhere else? And also is there a way to test the micro switches? Thanks for any and all help

Re: 95 ezgo won’t move
DO you know if this is a series or DCS cart?

Re: 95 ezgo won’t move
Neither the series or the DCS has a tow/run switch. Is the FNR switch a metal disk behind the body, or a long rod that goes toward the passenger side, with all the “action” over there?

Re: 95 ezgo won’t move
The DCS had the worlds first Run/Maintenance switch on the controller cover.
The long rod makes it a series cart... the F&R switch is on the floor, passenger side. It has 2 micro switches (aka ms) these ms must have battery power (+) usually from the charge receptacle or can be from battery main (+) |

Re: 95 ezgo won’t move
Here is a schematic with the solenoid activation circuit highlighted.
Apparently the B+ source is something other than the reed switch in your cart, but the rest of it ought to be the same. |

Re: 95 ezgo won’t move
Thanks for the diagram! I was thinking my micro switch was on the fnr switch didn’t know there was a box under the floor mat. Here’s a pic of my micro switch completely busted up. I had power going to it just nothing back out from how bad it is. Thanks all for the help ordered a new one hope it helps.

Re: 95 ezgo won’t move
It being busted up might mean the roller had dropped off the backside of the collar when the pedal is up.
Ought to look something like the attached picture with roller resting on collar. Note: the switch's roller as shown in picture is on the ragged edge of dropping off the collar. |
