Marathon shutters under a load
I have a 1998 Marathon 36 volt, when I go up a steep grade it shutters like it is has a loose connection somewhere can’t find the problem any suggestions

Are you sure it’s a marathon? Or a 98? Marathon production ended around 1994. There were two drive systems, a controller and a resistor setup. What is the manufacture code, under the serial number?

I meant medalist E198, I don’t know where marathon come from.

What you describe is usually a low voltage problem. If you plan on doing this fix yourself, you will need to be able to check voltage while the problem is occurring.(while driving). You might not like the answers, but, they are what they are.
