Cutting Headlight Holes
Well as most of you know my build has put on hold due to controller issues. Anyways, in the mean time I went ahead and did some body work and primered the front cowl and rear section. Well before I paint them I want to go ahead and cut the holes for the lights. My question is on the front, do you cut all the way through the cowl at the bottom to where it is open, or just cut a hole and leave a border atthe bottom.

Re: Cutting Headlight Holes
All the Ezgo kits I've seen the bottom is cut out and as LostHusker said above, if your instructions call for something different, follow those.

Re: Cutting Headlight Holes
They came with a stencil for you to use correct? If so line it up on your cart first, then you can see it better.

Re: Cutting Headlight Holes
Cutting it all the way is taking the easy way out (did I just call you lazy? sorry, ) I wonder if leaving it in is enough to save any strength in that area

Re: Cutting Headlight Holes
Here's the instructions for installing the light kit and not cutting all the way through, it even has wiring and troubleshooting info:

Re: Cutting Headlight Holes
Don't cut all the way through... it kills the structural integrity of the front edge of the cowl. Don't ask me how I know this...
