Battery trays.
Hi everyone! I'm just starting on redoing my battery tray, and am wondering if it can be aluminum? I took my batteries out yesterday and cleaned up everything that has corrosion on it. The rails aren't really in too bad of shape, but the batteries I'm using are a teense thinner than the originals. I was going to use some angle in either aluminum or steel to keep these batteries snug in the rails. I'm not sure how the aluminum will react to the steel rails already in the cart. What do you guys think? I already have the aluminum, but steel is easy to get if I need it. Thanks!

Re: Battery trays.
Aluminum and steel together make a corrosion cell and will eat away in no time. I would stick with steel and coat it thoroughly. What batteries are you using that are smaller? Might want to think about the next set that might be the original size and would not fit with the redone tray.

Re: Battery trays.
They guy who built my cart took the whole frame and Rhino Lined the whole thing! The only places I get corrosion are on the uncovered parts.
