Trailer Pics and How You Strap Cart Down
I've went through 30 pages of previous posts but couldn't find what I was looking for. I just sold my 5x8 trailer and am looking for a 5x10. The 5x8 had high steel sides. I ran one ratchet strap across the floor of it and set brake. Will you post pics of your trailer and suggestions on how to properly secure your cart.

Re: Trailer Pics and How You Strap Cart Down
Since I normally have the camper behind the truck, I put my cart in the truck bed and have a strap across the floor board connected to the front side hooks, and put another strap across the back for extra safety and connect to the rear side hooks. I know it doesn't help with a trailer set up, but that's how I do it with the truck.

2 straps in front, 2 in rear. Cross side to side to keep lateral movement to a minimum

Re: Trailer Pics and How You Strap Cart Down
My trailer has sides but one HD over the front axle and one HD over the rear. I use those wide 3" rachet straps. I've seen straps come loose on others carts and atvs that strap above the suspension. That is why I always go over the axle.

I use a 2" lasso strap at each corner. My trailer is very open and I can't afford to have any movement of the tires.

Re: Trailer Pics and How You Strap Cart Down
I have a 5 x 8 trailer that tilts to load and unload. Very easy to load and unload. I use the 3" ratchet straps. 2 crisscrossed on the rear. The cart end of the strap hooks on the rear spring at the shackle. The front has one strap that hooks onto both sides of the trailer and passes through a clevis that is attached to the towing eye on the front of the cart.

Re: Trailer Pics and How You Strap Cart Down
On my trailer I have a chain across the front and use a shackle to the center tow and chain across the back with a ratchet strap to tighten and a bungee just in case it bounces so that the hooks won't come loose.
