Default Ezgo powerwise charger blowing fuses

I have a 96 txt the fuse in charger is blown. So I tried it with out the fuse with the charger hooked up to the cart. It went off like 220 welder. What could the problem be. The charger is a powerwise

I'm not sure if you mean an AC fuse or a DC fuse, but a lot of times the diodes can short out and cause the DC fuse to blow. I'm not that familiar with the Powerwise chargers, however most chargers have a similar electrical layout. I'm sure you'll get more answers on this soon, but you can start with an easy diode check.

Whenever a charger blows a fuse, check the diodes first.

Fuses were put in the circuit for a reason, as you may now realize.
Hopefully, no additional damages were done.

Which PowerWise charger do you have? There are/were several different flavors, but the circuits are pretty much the same.

Here's a manual for a Lester charger (PowerWise was/is made by Lester)
It may not be your exact charger, but it'll be close and the troubleshooting steps they go through are pretty good.

You mentioned you plugged charger into cart and the plugged charger into AC power. Should be the other way around. Charger plugged into AC, than plug into cart.
