I agree that it depends on the kind of snow you get in your area. I've lived in eastern WA for almost 7 yrs now. We rarely get much of that wet, heavy snow, maybe 2" or 3" at one time at the most. Usually it's the light, dry snow, maybe 4" - 8" at a time. And maybe once I've seen it pile up a foot or more. Last yr our total was over 9' for the yr, but I don't think we had more than 18" of it on the ground at any one time.
There are stories about the "ice storm" in the mid 90s. But it's hard to prepare for the once in a 100 yr stuff rather than the predictable, every year stuff. In the 2+ yrs I've been into the carts now, they have gotten around pretty good, rarely getting stuck. I haven't plowed at all but have boonied around in the snow filled woods & on the frozen lake quite a bit. |
