How can you tell which OBC you have? Trojan or US?

Re: Batteries
I just replaced my 4 Trojans with new US batteries, and haven't had a bit of trouble and they are holding a charge just fine! .02

Re: Batteries
Nobody was saying the batteries won't charge or hold a charge. What was being clarified and corrected is that the original battery sales person was correct when he stated that the OBC is specific to a certain brand of battery ( or specific to a charging algorithm ). That dealer was called into question as to possibly trying to make a "high dollar sale"....when in fact he was just educating his customer. Sometime we as service techs in the industry try to educate our customers. Sometimes it pays to be quiet.
In the end, all OBC's will charge all cart batteries just fine....sticking to what was originally in the cart would just be a "better scenario". PS. Your dealer can tell you which version OBC you have. |
