Default Lights on 09 precedend

Install a light kit on a 2009 precedent with 6 8 volt batteries if i get 16 volts from battery pack then install a 12 volt voltage limiter in line going to lights would this work.limiter like one used on gas carts to keep voltage no higher then 12 volts

It would probably work, but I would not do it. Over time it will weaken those two batteries and cause the pack life to decrease. A high amperage 48-12v reducer is best...

I agree. I installed a reducer and an on/off switch so the reducer is only pulling current when I actually need my lights or accesories on...

. . . or buy a 48-12v reducer that has a trigger wire that gets wired to hot side of key switch . . then reducer only turns on when cart is turned on . . .
