It should be closed in both F&R, open in neutral.

no, sounds like a bad switch or something is shorting the connections out in the back, take a peek!

I have a new switch to put in. I need a good schematic of the F/R switch so I can verify that I'm hooking it up right as I don't think the current switch is wired correctly. Thank you for all your help

The old switch is wired wrong



I'm going to use 36V for forward and Reverse I think

Full power reverse rocks, just be careful and don't try any speed runs - the steering is way funky at full speed in reverse and you can wreck a cart very easily.
