Voltage variations
I own a 2009 EZGO RXV 48-volt golf cart that has been driven little, but well maintained. When the voltage meter drops to about 1/2 charge after being driven a short distance from a full charge, the meter will rapidly drop to near zero and the cart will loose power. By turning the ignition off for a few minutes and then back on, the meter returns to or near the 1/2 charge level and the cart proceeds at full power. But after a short distance, the above issue returns. Using a voltage meter, the batteries all appear normal, but each are the original batteries. Has anyone experienced this same issue?

Re: Voltage variations
It's time for new batteries unless you haven't been charging them.

Re: Voltage variations
As commented in previous post:
"Please explain "appear normal" what is your overall pack voltage and what is the voltage per battery? Consider 48.4 volts 50 % SOC which is considered in serious need of charge and 50.9 volts 100 % SOC" From your description your batteries are toast so if you give us some specific voltage readings we can help you along but without them not so much.... |
