thanks, worked great. First I hooked the acc up and the ground because I could tell which was ground and it gave me some funky reading and lighted the switch. I then swapped the ground and the other end pin and it read correctly and doesn't light the switch.

I never figured that out myself but I have mine wired so when the ignition switch is on the meter comes on,ignition switch is off,meter goes off.

I use the cart for hunting and perfer not to have the blue light on all the time when I park it before daylight. I could have hooked it up to the key switch but why not just hook it to a rocker switch and I can control it regardless of key on or key off.

Then if I want it on while it is charging or to monitor it after a charge I can leave it on without having the key on.

I have mine wired the same way. I didn't hook up the ground though because that is for the light on the switch and with 36volts it would just smoke the bulb anyways.
