Ezgo marathon conversion kit
Just ordered a solid state conversion kit from Scottyb for an old marathon that I just acquired (free). Body is in decent shape battery tray is gone. Just ordered the battery tray and new cowl and fender trim for it also. My first conversion. Advice accepted.

Re: Ezgo marathon conversion kit
my suggestions would be:
1. totally remove the body 2. fix/repair/remove any and all rust on the frame, then coat/paint the frame. 3. replace the body 4. replace EVERY wire on the cart. 5. FOLLOW SCOTTY'S INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS TO THYE LETTER. |

Re: Ezgo marathon conversion kit
If that is a resistor board,I wouldn't mind buying it from you as I need a board and resistors to modify for my current project as a resistor of the right type for it is not available.
I make my replacement battery racks out of bed rails from the junk yard or yard sales. Welds good and is strong. Just some measuring and cutting and weld in.I have done about 5 so far with that method. |

It is a resistor board. Appears to be in decent shape other than rust. Make me an offer. I can send you some better pics if you would like. |

All my other builds that's what I have done, but they were all either TXT's or club car DS's. I've never completely disassembled a marathon before. All my other ones were for someone else. I think I'm going to try to flip this one and try to sell it. |

It's been a slow go. Not much time to work on it, and when I do have time it's been freezing! I've finally got some heat in my shop so maybe I can get back on it soon. I've got a roll of 2 gauge welding leads that I'm going to make some with. I want to derust and paint the rest of the frame before I install the batteries. |
