2007 DS Solenoid not picking up
So I parked my 2007 Club Car DS a couple of weeks ago and put it on my AccuSense charger. It was running fine at the time. No problems at all. I go to use it a few days ago, and the solenoid will not pick up. I can hear the contacts in the MCOR closing and opening with the accelerator pedal, but the solenoid never picks up. About a year ago, I installed an Alltrax XCT 500 controller, upgraded solenoid and motor from Scotty B, and bypassed the OBC so I could use the AccSense charger. The cart has been running fine up until this problem appeared. Any ideas where I should start troubleshooting this? I'm thinking MCOR and solenoid, but I've never fooled with an MCOR. I should add that I see no continuity across any of the posts on the MCOR regardless of pedal position.
Thanks in advance for any help. Last edited by zephyrus; 09-16-2016 at 03:27 PM.. Reason: Added more information |

Plug your computer into the alltrax controller and open up the Monitor menu. It'll tell you what's working and what's not. If the FOOT INPUT never turns on when you push the pedal, replace the MCOR.

Re: 2007 DS Solenoid not picking up
I just did that Tahoe. The throttle position in the Alltrax Monitor software looks to be dead on 0-100%. The relay does not show as being on, just stays off. I'm guessing that would be the solenoid. I can see the keyswitch, F&R switch and the pedal switch all change states. Sounds like the solenoid might be bad? Only thing is, it got upgraded at the same time as the controller and motor. It's a 400A I got with the kit.

Yes I can see the foot switch coming on in addition to the 0-100% throttle position.

Re: 2007 DS Solenoid not picking up
I didn't notice yesterday, but at the top of the Monitor screen there are three error codes highlighted in red and have "dots" in the circles. They are "Shutdown", "Precharge Fail", and "Low Battery". The battery pack is showing 50.1 volts. The error codes are active at all times regardless of pedal position.

Re: 2007 DS Solenoid not picking up
Sounds like the controller is not sensing battery voltage at the solenoid. What are your voltage readings in the monitor program?

Re: 2007 DS Solenoid not picking up
Is Relay status "On/Off" the solenoid? It stays "Off".
