2001 Club Car DS No speed sensor??
Hello all.
I just picked up a new to me, and sadly abused 01 club car ds 48v. It has the ge regen motor on it and it appears as thought the speed sensor harness coming off the back of the motor isn't connected to anything, nor do I see anything for it to connect to. Is it supposed to go to something? It looks like it was cut off right after the plug. Is not having it connected to anything going to cause issues? Loss of performance? etc? The cart was a bit of a hack job that my son and I are trying to rebuild to have something to run around the campground on. Any help is GREATLY appreciated! |

Being a 2001, and a regen cart, it is more than likely a Regen 2 cart. Regen 1 and 2 carts don't have to have the sensors connected to run, and in fact disable all regen braking when unplugged. |
