Club Car Beeping while sitting
The other day my 06 CC went into a limp mode. It would take off and go 10-20 feet and then die down to 3mph or so. After searching I did the speed sensor test, checking to see if the car rolled without resistance. Which it did and I concluded the speed sensor was bad. I ordered the sensor and it looks like I should be getting it tonight. Well when I woke up this morning I heard beeping coming from the garage. When I checked I found that my cart was beeping. It would sound several beeps, Stop, and then several more beeps. It just kept on going so i pulled the battery wires. I hooked them back up after awhile and it stopped. I also discovered that the batteries fell about 2 volts throughout the night. Could the bad speed sensor be causing this? I hope it's that simple.

Re: Club Car Beeping while sitting
Batteries fell 2 volts each or 2 volts overall? Either way this is not good. Get your cart on the charger and charge your batteries.
Without further testing I'm going to say more than like you have more than one problem with 1) being a bad speed sensor and 2) Batteries that are going bad and/or 3) something is draining your batteries down overnight which is possible but more than like your batteries are going bad. |

Re: Club Car Beeping while sitting
Your battery discharging is likely related to the speed sensor.
If the bad speed sensor is sending pulses to the controller, it will power up the motor field coils to engage the "walk away" brake. That will not only drain your battery if happened a lot overnight, but can also burn the motor. I would suggest to keep the cart in Tow or just unplug the bad sensor until you can replace it. |

Re: Club Car Beeping while sitting
hope you checked for a broken magnet first, much more common then the sensor.
the sensors not draining your batteries. |

Re: Club Car Beeping while sitting
You should check to make sure you have a speed magnet (4 poles).
The procedure below will allow you to test the magnet in the cart: http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...ml#post1244694 |
