Re: ezgo starts to slow?
so I disabled the speed limit and test drove the cart and it runs good and is running 20-25 mph with no problems . under the live data there are no error codes.
if I enable the speed limit it slows the cart down a lot to maybe 10 mph but still runs smooth. does this indicate a problem ? |

What is the Speed limit slider set to? When the speed limit is enabled, what is the Motor RPM shown when at max speed? Also, does the gauge panel show motor RPM when speed limit is disabled? If so, what is it at max speed. |

Re: ezgo starts to slow?
when limiter is disabled or enabled the slider is at 6000 it doesn't change .
with limiter enabled: no speed registers on rpm bar gauge when limiter is disabled the bar says n/a |

Fix that issue and you are likely to get a higher top speed. Also, make sure the "Turbo" box is checked. I was running a DCX500, which does not use a motor speed sensor, before I replaced it with a XCT48400-PDS, so I had to do some wiring to connect the speed sensor on the D&D motor I have to the EZGO speed sensor cable that plugs into the XCT and ran the XCT without a speed sensor for a few days. With a 42V battery pack, I was getting a bit over 28MPH with the DCX controller and dropped down to about 23 with the XCT with no speed sensor. When I finally got the speed sensor wired into the XCT, the cart's top speed increased to about 26 MPH, then I switched to a field map that was specifically for the motor I have instead of a stock PDS motor and the speed went back to a bit over 28 MPH. |
