Update...
So I got the USB cable (ebay, seller was amazing! Provides tips.) and downloaded the program (It's out there v3.12) and was able to succesfully program the parameters I wanted to. For example, when I hit the pedal the cart would fly forward whiplash style. Same with reverse. I was able to go in and adjust the acceleration setting for it not to do that. I was able to see the controller at OEM level. So far so good. There is another issue I need to deal with but that belongs on another thread. So the only thing I can't prove is longevity.
