Default EZ Go Powerwise Charger malfunction

My old charger is not working. I found the clip inside the charger plug, is not touching the post, but am not sure how it is suppose to look, to begin with. Does anyone have a picture of the end of the plug, that shows how the clip should look?

The charger clicks, after 10 secs or so, after plugging in, but the transformer does not start humming. Prior to this, the charger had got to where it was only showing about 3 ams on the meter, when I plugged it in. The batteries are about 6 months old and strong.

I took the plug apart, and it was evident how the clip was suppose to be bent. It is working again. My batteries are showing 37.4 volts, and the charger is putting out 3 amps, again. At what battery voltage, should the charger increase to maximum, to charge the batteries? I'm surprised the charger is putting out 3 amps. I would think at that voltage, it would not put out anything.

Sounds like it is doing what it is supposed to. Let it run until it shuts off. After they are somewhat discharged plug it in again. Amperage should be higher then decrease as it nears end of charge.

If the charger never exceeds 3a when first plugged in, it probably has a bad capacitor.
