Default Differentialand u-bolt angles

**Differential AND U-bolt Angle

Ordered some new leaf springs for my cart. Looking at my setup now, the U-bolt bracket sits at an angle. Is that normal? My rear differential appears to be level. Seems like the angle of the u-bolt bracket is not going to let the leaf spring bend the way it’s suppose to. The spring that’s on it now is pretty much flat. I was thinking when I mounted the new leaf that I could just level the bracket by turning the entire axle forward and then clamp the u-bolts down; but then my differential will sit at an angle.

Any input?

The axle normally tilts forward some. The lift kit "blocks" have it that way (it's current angle), and the worn/flat springs ain't helping.. Just proceed with the new springs, and make sure the axle won't hit the body, or the batteries when putting the axle back in place.

One reason they are at that angle is because. The cart has extra long rear spring shackles. Pushing the rear of the wore out spring down

Correct, I was going to shorten the shackle length once I get the new springs on and everything back level. I don’t think it’ll be necessary to have the extra long shackle once I get the new springs on and the u-bolt bracket level.

Wow, I didn't even notice the absurd shackles.
