Alltrax XCT500 EZGO ITS throttle codes

yes i read the sticky up top, but let me tell you what happened first.(long story but i will shorten it up for you. i got the ITS sensor wet and it shorted out, alltrax controller blinked out error codes 2 red/3green. so i installed a new throttle sensor and now i get 4 green flashes , followed by a solid green. indicating ready to run.. Problem is when i give it full throttle, it shuts down on take off ? if i give it 50-75% it runs fine on take off and down the streets.. never had that issue until i got it wet. i bought a cheap throttle sensor off of Amazon for 29 bucks. hopefully its not a "get what you pay for situation". cart is a 2007 ezgo txt, with tons of mods from Carts Unlimited. including controller, cables, motor, etc. cart runs good if not on full throttle out of the hole.

Any help would be great, also how waterproof are the controller and motors in these carts?

Check the four wire Molex connector, which connects the throttle box to the wiring diagram. Here's a picture. It's usually in front of the controller.

Here's a picture of what the connector looks like. First, try unplugging it, spraying it with contact cleaner, then repeatedly plug/unplug/plug it. If this fixes the problem, either solder or butt splice, then use quality heat shrink. Remember to install the heat shrink before connecting the wires.

Unless you've cleared the throttle's auto-cal, the XCT is still calibrated for your old ITS sensor and the new sensor may have a different output. Are you getting any error codes, or any errors showing up on monitor page in Toolkit?

Try clearing auto-cal.

All excellent ideas. The that the original ITS may not be bad, just wet. Many of the erratic throttle problems with the ITS can be repaired with a hairdryer. Hope this helps

thanks for the info, no error codes, just 4 green flashes, followed by solid green. is there a place i can get the software for a laptop to plug into controller?

thanks I'll try the hair dryer method. its been sitting for 2 weeks since the ITS got wet, its easy enough to plug the old one back in and see if it works.
