I'm scared silly about painting/dipping the wheels. They are actually gorgeous!
Please take photos and keep us updated. I'm sure it will turn out great!

A while back I got a good deal on a Polaris 50cc atv for my son, but it was pink. I stripped it down and painted it with black plastic dip. I figured when it was time to sell it, if a girl wanted it, I could just peal it off. Just take your time and use nice even coats, you'll be fine.

When I was looking into what I wanted to paint my cart with, I ran across videos from the YouTube channel DipYourCar. They had the best videos I found on using the stuff, that I found. Here's one on doing wheels.

Good luck. Let us know how it ends up

Of all the carts on this site that have used PlastiDip; Ron (TheNewGuy) has one of his cart done in a metallic blue and it looks awesome! Probably one of the cleanest looking carts I've seen Maybe he'll chime in with some tips for you.

Thanks the videoes are helpful.

I've watched that one, and several of his others. That is what I made my bullet point check list from. They do seem to have alot of videos for black wheels. I'm nervous about mine being color.

I do hope to take pictures after each coat to show the stage process. Today my respirator and product get delivered. So when my courage level and free time reach their peaks I'll begin.

The biggest thing with aerosol spray cans is to pay close attention to re-coat times. If you wait too long to re-coat it has to dry completely (usually about 48 hours) before you can re-coat it again. Otherwise you'll spray it and watch the previous coat start bubbling up and peeling off.

I've always found beer to be helpful in kick starting that!

So you recommend covering the wheels in beer first, so everything slides off easy.

Canadian, or USA beer?

Follow the instructions on the can. Drying time will depend on the temperature and humidity. But as fairtax has stated 48 hours is a good rule of thumb.
