Recommendations for Curtis 1204 027 Controller

Hello all, my 1204 027 controller is not working any recommendations where I can get one rebuilt or exchanged by a member of the forum. Were located in Chino Hills California. I see rebuilt ones on the internet for $135.00 in Florida.

Rebuilt controllers are abused controllers that had one part fail, the failed part is replaced and tested and sold. The rest of the controller is still old and still had a lot of abuse and is still much more fragile than new.

I don't know what a 1204 controller is, but I bought an Alltrax 300 amp controller from ScottyB at Cartsunlimited.net and it worked great for me. He has bigger controllers too if you want to upgrade to an aftermarket motor later on.

But for me, I'd suggest avoiding a rebuilt controller. My $0.02

The Alltrax 300 amp (350 amps peak) series controller is $395 new from cartsunlimited.net

I am assuming you have a series cart. The Sepex controllers seem to be a tiny bit more.

But ScottyB on this forum owns cartsunlimited.net and offers great support during and after the fact. He sells larger Alltrax controllers too if you're looking for more.

Also, there are other possible reasons a cart won't run. I don't know what diagnostics you've done, but there are a lot of other parts that could fail...
