Default 2003 CCDS Won't Crank

Hello. I have a 2003 DS that won't crank. If I put power to the blue wire on the solenoid, and push the pedal, it will start normally. It will run if I remove power from the blue wire, but will not start again until power is reapplied to that terminal again. Any ideas? Where does the blue wire get its power from? Thanks.

Check the fuse in the black electrical box on the drivers side under the seat. If that is OK your ignition switch may need testing/replacing.

That fuse was blown. Replaced it. Didn't blow again. Still same result. I'm pretty sure that I tested all of the terminals on the key switch, and none of them were hot. It's at my shop, so I cant do it now. Thanks for the reply.

Jimmie is right though about the ignition switch needing testing. That IS were the blue wire gets power. Back track from there. I know you replaced the fuse, but did you check for power to & through the fuse?

It has no power at the key switch. It has one fuse in the fuse block and it is good (has power on both sides). The fuse in the yellow fuse holder is good and has power. I was going to now check the red wire that goes to the key switch.

Someone put a hidden remote switch on the red wire.

We find stuff like that more often than you’d think. Carts people have owned for years and never knew an extra switch was in there.
