Default 2000’s ezgo txt electric input shaft seal

Hello,

I am in the process of replacing the input shaft on my 2008 electric ezgo txt pds.
The input shaft I removed had sealed bearing from the motor side.

I went locally to get the part and the new original ezgo part and noticed it had exposed bearings from the motor side. The dealer stated a seal kit needed to be purchased but did not have in stock thus I needed to go online.

Upon looking online I found seal kits but most state they are for gas carts.

OE spec replacements for the entire input shaft and bearings from online dealers all have sealed bearings. Should I just go with one of those?
Thank you

Should be a number on that bearing. Take that to your local bearing store and get one that is sealed. 6005LL I believe

Thank you but I have to replace the entire shaft with bearings as the teeth on the motor side were worn quite a bit. It’s almost a daily driver, street legal so she gets a lot of miles!

Is the bearing sealed on the inside? Might have gotten put on backwards.

The bearing closest to motor is a sealed (both sides)hybrid bearing (ceramic balls - steel races) and the other one is regular bearing that is also sealed on both sides. Or at least that is what EZGO sent me when I put new bearings on the input shaft of my 2008 PDS.

The bearing closest to motor is inside the magnetic fields generated by the motor, so a hybrid bearing is needed to avoid eddy current erosion.
