Smile EXGO RXV 1 Inch Lift Options

I purchased a 2008 EZGO RXV and put 12 inch rims with 215/50-12 tires on them. Long story short, the cart has a rear seat attached and when my girls ride in the back it pushes the wheel clearance when taking large bumps. My question is what’s the best way to raise the cart without having to buy a prefabricated kit. I really only want to raise the rear 1 inch or so but not sure which option is best:

-Buy 1 inch block to raise axel
-Hockey puck lift to raise axel
-Extend rear shackles from 4 inches to 6
-Move springs on top of axel

Open to whatever is the best option for the money.

It’s an option, but trying to keep cost down without having to buy more gear. Plus I’ve heard that heavy duty springs makes the cart ride rougher. Thoughts?

I run hd leaf spring on my rxv it sure ride a litle bit rougher but nothing crazy still ride pretty smooth. I also really appreciate how it reduce the body roll when turning with 4 adult in it.

How much extra wheel height did you get with the HD Springs?

With those tires (about 20.5") you should not need a lift. Your original springs could be sagging, and can be replaced with new stock springs. E-Z-GO has a 25% sitewide sale going on now. You can remove the rear wheel opening inner wheel well liners, held in by christmas tree fasteners, if the tires hit under load. Those older RXVs are easier to move the springs to above the rear tubes than the newer RXVs style rear axle.

I have "dual action" rear springs on mine with 20"+ tires. Rides like standard cart normally but compensates when weight is added on the back. Old tech but relatively new to golf carts. No rubbing even with ~500 lbs on the back seat. No lift on my cart. Very common to have these in my area.
Here is a link to an example from a site sponsor. https://www.jasonsgolfcarts.com/Sear...prings&Submit=

You should shop around.

Thanks, I’ve placed an order on eBay for a set of heavy duty springs so I’ll just everyone once I get them installed. Appreciate the insights...

That’s an option too, didn’t think about removing the liner but I went ahead with an order for heavy duty springs. Clearance right now is 22.5 with no weight on the rear seat but it’s when I have passengers in the back that bumps get us. Hopefully the new springs will do the trick and I’ll remeasure too...
