Lol, nope, just holding the top up so I didn't scratch up the paint. Didnt want to remove the top and struts.

Should work fine there. The charger is 100% water proof, so the only things you need to try to seal up are the connections.
Put some silicone grease around the receptacle where the AC cord plugs in.
Use silicone sealant or grease around the cover where the DC cord attaches, and use silicone grease on the terminals there to keep water off the connections if any does get in there.

Man, that's awesome! I was peeking there on mine yesterday trying to find a spot and quickly axed the idea because I though water may be an issue, but after reading this I'm all in.

I just got my Summit II delivered and have been searching for videos or pictures of where to mount the darn thing. Not much from Lester on this.

right now i've got mine sitting in the bottom section loose under the rear seat...trying to come up with an option to mount it as well.

Here's where I mounted mine with 2 pieces of unistrut. Has worked well.

Couple pics of mine mounted. I had to fab up the brackets out of flat stock aluminum and may have a little more room to play with in there than you do.
