Re: Getting Zero Volts Across Full Battery Pack
The 200v setting is the opposite of what you have, your pictures show you are using the 12v battery setting, the notched side of the dial is what points to the setting.
Make sure it is set for 200V. Also make sure it is in DC mode (button up) as mentioned. |

Re: Getting Zero Volts Across Full Battery Pack
Like Sergio said, it looks like you have the dial 180 degrees out.

Re: Getting Zero Volts Across Full Battery Pack
Edit - by the time I posted this others had made similar comments:
I have that same meter - pretty sure you have the dial pointing in the wrong direction. I zoomed in on your photo and the range indicator on the knob appears to be pointing to the 12 volt battery range. Try rotating it 180 degrees to the 200 volt range. Also double check to make sure the AC/DC button is NOT pushed in. |

Re: Getting Zero Volts Across Full Battery Pack
After this detour you can get back on track and look at the solenoid and diode connections since if that diode is backwards it will take out your micro-switch.

Re: Getting Zero Volts Across Full Battery Pack
There is a direct reason why I thought that you were 180 out; don't feel like the Lone Ranger :)
