No go ..... nothing
Been a while since I have been on BGW, but I am back with a problem. All my cart info is in my Sig.
Back in early Oct 2020, while deer hunting in MO, my CC stopped. It would not do anything other than 'click' when the pedal was pressed. Only after deer season just ended here in La. 1/31/21, did I have time to have it checked out. At the time it stopped, it was still in warranty, but I did not know that at the time. Since then, I found the 2 yr warranty just expired Jan. 15, 2021 ..... just my luck! I took it to the nearest shop to me, 40 miles away. They advised the controller has power coming IN, but not coming OUT. They said they did not have instruments to fit the connection on the 600A Alltrax controller to check an further. They advise they did temporarily connect a new 'Mcor???' to it, but that did not change anything. During the past year I have used the cart very little, until it came to deer season. BUT the few times I did use it during that period sometimes I noticed a different/slight hesitation to move when attempting to do so. It seemed to go away after being used for a while ....... may not have any bearing on the problem. Oh yeah, almost forgot. The 'brain' on the cart went out and has been by-passed, now using a smart charger. I did not want to buy a new controller until sure that was the problem. HELP! |

Re: No go ..... nothing
We've emailed a little. Let's get everybody up to speed.
Repair shop couldn't really diagnose an Alltrax, correct? When will you have the cart with you? Do you possess or have access to a laptop and a printer cable if needed? |

Yes, they had nothing to connect to the Alltrax, they advised. I have the cart back home now. No, I do not have a laptop.

Looks like everyone is snoozing ...... lol
I just had a thought about you asking about a laptop. Sometimes my wife brings the laptop from her work home with her. Therefore it is POSSIBLE during this week I might could use it after she gets off work ..... 5pm central time. In the mean time, is there any other way to do a preliminary check on the controller? |

Re: No go ..... nothing
You're going to need her laptop and to download the Alltrax tool kit software from their website. Once connected to the controller it will let you know of any errors and we can go from there to help troubleshoot.

Re: No go ..... nothing
There is something you can do without a computer. The Alltrax has a self diagnostic system using the status LED for both throttle and failure codes.
So make sure the batteries are fully charged and jack the rear wheels off the floor. Remove the seat or otherwise gain access to view the controller LED. Charger unplugged. Run/tow in run. Key on. F&R in gear. Depress the go pedal a little. The solenoid should click and the LED will show the throttle program type ( count the green blink sequence like 5 or 7) then the LED should go solid green indicating good to go - or throw a fault code. Do this several times to confirm and be certain you are seeing and counting the sequence properly |

Re: No go ..... nothing
I assume this is the LED you are referring to, next to where it says STAT? If so, it does nothing, will not light up.

Re: No go ..... nothing
It does require power to light up. Is there 36 or 48v (+) at the J1 red wire? and a good connection at controller B-?
You should be able to test the voltage between these 2 points. You do have a volt meter ? |

Re: No go ..... nothing
I do have meter. Will try to locate those wires to check volts.
