Default PDS FnR switch question

I am converting my DCS FnR level to a dash mounted PDS switch. I bought an EZGO switch that I thought was correct but just wanted to double check if the PDS switch is JUST F or R or is there a "dead" or "neutral" spot in the middle. Seems like it would be one or the other but just wanted to double check before I I got it mounted.

Thanks !

Default Re: PDS FnR switch question

The PDS direction selector switch is the On-Off-On type, or Foward-Neutral-Reverse.

If you are installing an actual PDS switch, it is SPDT/center-OFF, so you'll have to add a diode to get reverse to work.

In a DCS the two switches are "Run" and "Reverse".
For F only Run is closed and for R both Run and Reverse are closed.

Thanks JohnnieB for the clarification. It would have bugged me not knowing for sure LOL. I have it working with a 3A diode right now. Should that suffice in your opinion ?

Thanks for the help !

Yep. A 3A diode is more than adequate.

Glad to hear you've got it working.
