Default 2003 club car ds

I have a 2003 club car ds. The cart will not move forward or backwards. If you move the cart slightly in either direction it will the move? Any ideas? Thanks

Never experienced this, but maybe worn motor brushes or a dead spot on the commutator?

Does it happen every time you stop, or sometimes?

Mt first thought was motor brushes or carbon build-up as well...If you have good voltage in your battery pack...

He is also referring to motor issue...commutator is basically what your motor brushes are riding against...

Commutator is on the end of the armature (the rotating part of the motor) highlighted in yellow. It's a series of contacts that the brushes (red) ride on to provide power to the Armature.

If the motor comes to rest in a position where there is bad contact between the brushes and the commutator motor will not start. Moving the cart will rotate the armature away from the point of bad contact allowing the cart to move.
