91 electric club car ds won't move
First off I really appreciate all the help im learning so much on here and learning real quick I'm not an electrician lol
So here's the problem Im now facing I have a 36 volt electric cart that won't move forward or backward. I have 36 volts at the new solenoid. The batteries are fully charged. I have the cart rear axle jacked up. When I jump the solenoid the rear wheels turn. Without the solenoid jumped pressing on the pedal has no effect. I have tested both micro switches the one in the v glide and the one on the f/r. What else can I check to diagnosis the problem? |

Re: 91 electric club car ds won't move
If your key switch and micro switches are good I’m pretty sure that’s all there is to control the solenoid. If it works as normal with the solenoid jumped I would guess either it’s wired wrong or faulty wire going to solenoid, or the solenoid is bad. If the key is on and you get pack voltage putting a volt meter on the small posts of the solenoid with the lever in fwd or reverse and pedal down then you probably have a bad solenoid.

Re: 91 electric club car ds won't move
It was running fine before slow up hill I figured that was from running it on 3 12v batteries, so far this year I've put in 6 new 6v batteries, v glide, solenoid, new battery cables, cleaned up charging port, and I have tested everything from key switch to v glide and from what the voltmeter is reading I should be good, I did notice a few wires that looked like they needed to be replaced in doing that tomorrow and even tho everything has tested good I did go ahead and order a new solenoid micro switch for the v glide and f/r switch
