What brand is your light bar? All the decent ones have reverse polarity protection.

Just some generic brand off Ebay for $75 bucks or so. But like I said, what is weird is there is a blue wire coming out of the harness that powers the center headlight (in addition to the ground). I cut that wire and hooked up to the side lights and they work. So that must mean the blue headlight wire is supplying the power as needed.
