Default DS won't reach above 7 mph

06 Ds, 400a Alltrax, DD

Cart would routinely cruise 22-24 mph, after moderate length ride, now will accelerate normal and then top out around 7. From what I've researched here, speed sensor? Throttle sensor or mcor. Haven't hooked up USB to allltrax yet, has a steady green light. Motor doesn't get hot, no burning, volts under load didip to around 49v. Haven't gotten to speak to DD yet either.
The light will flash amber when driven, which according to manual says throttle is wide open but controller is in current limit.
What would cause the controller to limit itself

I cannot be certain but when you are full throttle but the cart is in limp mode its usually a speed sensor. I cannot say for sure as I do not have the experience with alltrax as some of the great people this forum but that symptom is usually a speed sensor issue. Check the magnet also. Is it cracked?

Its been 4 plus years since I was under it, is speed sensor the piece with pigtails on motor end? Seems like the amount of stuff I got working is 10 percent of all my stuff lately

Yep. End of the motor. Has 3 wires. You can take the speed sensor off and inspect the magnet for any damage or cracks. The magnet is right behind the speed sensor.

Read this thread. Explains how to do a roll test of the speed sensor.

You can disable the speed limit in the controller to test the speed sensor.
Likely the speed sensor is bad, but check the magnet as well for any cracks.
