Powerwise Charger issues in Club Car
I have a 36 volt club car serial #09239 304533 and i have a powerwise charger model 28115 G01 that I converted to a crowsfoot by hooking red and black wire together. Charger worked great all last summer, but it is not working like it did.
1.Main issue is the ampmeter does not come up to 15 amps like it did before, more like 3 amps now. 2. When I plug in the DC cord with AC cord unplugged the relay clicks. Before when I plugged in AC cord and DC cord, there would be about a 10 second delay, and it would kick on and go up to 15 amps. Typical voltage before I plug in is around 35 volts, when I plug in charger, it is putting out about 37.2, so it is charging. I have replaced board, ampmeter, both diodes, and capacitor with no change. I have done the basic testing off videos and everything is checking out OK. Any ideas? Thanks |

Re: Powerwise Charger issues in Club Car
How old are the batteries and what is the voltage on them...35 volts is about 20 percent charged and basically dead and would prevent the charger from putting out..Since you replaced the cap and diodes the batteries would be my next check...A fully charged 36v pack should be around 38 volts....Check each one...
