I've ordered it w/o OTF and that saved 120$, easy decision

I always install them on my builds. Carts I do are in very hilly zones. So the regen setting changes quite often for drivers. When facing a huge hill going down cranking regen helps.

I can see how the OTF would not be as useful in Flat Florida.

I don’t see stopping a golf cart to make an adjustment as any big deal. It’s not an aircraft!
I keep my regen set pretty light, isn’t using the brake pedal the same thing as setting the regen higher? I mean, all the braking is regen, it hasn’t got any other except the park brake.
So I don’t understand why setting the regen higher really does anything for you going down a hill.

Imapled hit the nail on the head. Hilly zones are the best reason to have the OTF. I keep my regen down to almost nothing until I am going down a very long hill, then I crank it up a bit to keep the speed down and build some battery before going back up. One of my downhill spots leads to a low water bridge. I go downhill for a good 1/4 mile before heading back up after crossing the bridge. It is not a steep downhill, probably 80 feet in elevation change but it is nice to "top off" before going back up the other side. Other than that, only time I have used it is when I lent the cart out for a charity event and I could have just set it in the app.

The regen seems to be jerky.

I wish it was like my Tesla.
