1999 club car 48v won’t move
I have a 1999 club car ds 48v I’m working on for a friend. He called me and said while changing battery cables, he arced out the F&R switch. He replaced the F&R switch but still wouldn’t go.
I have cart now and used BuggiesUnlimited tech support to diagnose it as “bad controller”. I bought a SR48400 Alltrax from ScottyB. Installed it and same thing… Flashing LEDs are 7 green and then solid green. Solid Orange on full throttle. I tested the yellow and green throttle wires and got 5200ohm - 0ohm at full throttle. Any suggestions? Bad motor? Another bad F & R? |

Connect your laptop or computer and see what kind of errors you have. Or post screen shots.

Re: 1999 club car 48v won’t move
One of the best things about the Alltrax controllers is that ability to plug in a laptop and see what's going on. Takes out much of the guess work.

Borrow one. You need a laptop or something you can connect via USB to use the Alltrax software. It's great for debugging.

Re: 1999 club car 48v won’t move
Ok. I got a desktop dragged out of a closet and setup. I have no idea what I’m doing. What should I be looking for? The monitor doesn’t show any error flags that I see
I need help… I tried to attach the excel file but it’s not a valid attachment |

Re: 1999 club car 48v won’t move
The monitor shows you what inputs are on or off in real time. It also shows throttle position and motor current / voltage, RPM, etc depending on what inputs you have to the controller. You can usually tell what is going on from that info. If you are still stumped, make a log and send it to Alltrax support. ( or post it here for us to look at )

Re: 1999 club car 48v won’t move
I talked with Alltrax. They said bad motor or bad F&R. I tested B- to A1 and B- to A2. Both same as pack voltage.
Anyone have a wiring diagram for the F&R switch? The owner replaced the switch already but I guess it could be bad out of the box. |

Re: 1999 club car 48v won’t move
Going by the diagrams I found on the site, The F&R switch appears to be wired correctly. I get 50.8v in forward from F&R to S2, 50.8v from F&R to S1
