What specifics can you tell us about how you know everything is new and works? Do you have voktage readings? What have you done to troubleshoot?

If you "charge" them and each time you are dead in 1/4 mile your batteries are likely not getting a full charge

I have a similar problem. Brand new Interstate batteries / older yamaha 48v charger in my 04 DS Transport

After they're "charged" (according to the little light on the charger), 4 out of the 6 batteries read 8.03 volts - the others read 7.9x.

The cart has very little range and starts slowing soon after fully charged.

I'm thinking it's the charger right???

It certainly does not sound like you are getting a full charge.

Fully charged batteries will be about 8.49v. Yours are dead by every measure.
Your charger is likely at fault. Assuming the batteries are brand new, and properly connected. Time for a new charger.

Check with someone else's charger to see if yours is defective?
