Default Re: Upgrading 36v ezgo in stages

I am in the same position as you in regards to upgrading an 89 Marathon. All internals have been removed and want to upgrade in stages. Would ultimately like to upgrade to the TXT48 Conversion kit that is now available. Not sure my budget could handle that alone with 2 more 6V batteries.

My question is...if I purchase the 500/400 kit from ScottyB what else do I need? Do I need to replace the F&R switch? If so, which is the better choice, the direct replacement of one of the toggle style switches? Also, how does the electronic pedal work, does it just swap out the pot box and pedal?
