Smart charger
Does anyone have any experience with a 10LOL smart charger? My neighbor bought on for his 06 Precedent and had me install the bypass cable. The charger turned on right away. It went to the 80% charged pretty quickly. I checked pack voltage and it read 58 volts. Shouldn’t that be shutting off at that point? I tried to do some research on that charger but had no luck. Also does the main negative cable that runs thru the OBC stay connected or get removed? Thanks

Re: Smart charger
58v is bare minimum. Expect to see 62-65v before it shuts off.
From what I can tell that charger is programmable and needs to be set to the correct algorithm that matches the batteries that are in the cart. Make sure it is set to the proper algorithm or it may not charge the pack properly. What kind of "bypass cable" did you install? |

Re: Smart charger
You have to bypass the OBC. The charger doesn't do it. The Lester charger does not use an OBC so you have to bypass it. There is a sticky here that tells you what you have to do to bypass the OBC.

Re: Smart charger
If you want to remove the OBC, you can pull that negative cable out of the hole and route it around the OBC. If you plan to leave the OBC on the cart, you can leave the negative wire where it is.

Re: Smart charger
Make sure it has the correct plug for your cart's charge connector. The Summit II is very flexible. You have to select a charge profile for your batteries.
