Default Series 36 to 48v upgrade with Altrax sr48500 amp controller. Head scratcher!

1999 series txt. New motor, solenoid and Altrax 500 amp controller purchased from D&D. Unfortunately D&D dosent offer tech support. Controller is wired with new HD reverse switch and upgraded cables. For a 48v cart the diagram shows using a 4.7k ohm resistor across the solenoid. My big question is does this go across the two smaller tabs on the solenoid across from the diode or the larger motor/batt cables B+ and B- I presume? Also they included a capacitor to go from B- to ground but in any other diagrams I don’t see this being used.

Pre-charge resistor (470Ω for 48V system) goes between solenoid's large terminals.

Diode goes between solenoids small (coil terminals) with banded end connected to positive.

Capacitor goes between Controller's B- terminal and cart frame. (Heatsink)

Awesome. So leave the other two terminals on the solenoid empty?

The push on terminals are connected to each other. Top to top and bottom to bottom.

Most people connect diode between one set and wires on the other set.
