You probably have the pink wire on the wrong side of the solenoid. Trace the big wire that comes from the B+ side of the batteries and connects to the solenoid. Make sure the pink wire is connected to that same big terminal on the solenoid.

I don't see any diode, but there is a corrugated plastic cover over most of the wires between the fuse and the T/R switch. I'll see if i can take that cover off and follow the wire between the fuse and the T/R switch. Thank you for the suggestion. I appreciate all of your help so far Fairtax4me.

WalterM6 here is a picture of my solenoid and wiring. Which pink wire are you referring to?

The two wires that I circled in your picture need to be connected together. But don't take my word for it. Make sure that the wire goes to the run/tow switch before you connect it. To avoid problems like this in the future be sure to take plenty of pictures and make drawings.

And while you're at it. The large wire coming from the battery should be connected to the large terminal labeled + on the solenoid.

That's a resistor. Here is a picture of the diode circled in red. Notice the "1N" marking on it.

Connecting the two red/pink wires in post #34 resolved the problem I was having.

LOL. Wish i had seen this thread when you had the issue. I have done exactly the same myself. Accidentally pulled the connection apart while changing that same fuse. Luckily i saw it before replacing everything.
