2006 EZGO TXT PDS Speed Controller Question
Hey, have a question about a 36 v 2006 ezgo txt pds that I bought that needs a new speed controller. it currently has an old (not working) Alltrax 9 pin style controller. I am looking for a replacement and all the replacements are 750$ + which is way more than I have paid for a controller in the past. I am guessing it is because of the PDS. My question is, can I "not use" the PDS system and just run a standard 5 pin controller to the motor? Essentially creating a standard TXT?
TIA |

Re: 2006 EZGO TXT PDS Speed Controller Question
No.
A series drive controller will not run a sepex (separately excited) motor. There has been a significant amount of inflation in the past year or so, but replacement sepex controllers are available at better prices than you suggest. IE: An Alltrax XCT48400-PDS for $526. https://www.cartsunlimited.net/alltrax-xct-sepex--.html |
